FINAL

Game 6

World Series - Game 6
Reds 5, Braves 4 - (8 innings)
Reds survive furious Braves rally, win 1st ever HRL Championship!
The rains on September 6th left the night, the rink, and the World Series in a complete state of disarray.  After one inning of play in game 6, the rains were monsoon-like, forcing play to be stopped.  Key players for the Reds, Zack "Dr. Seuss" Eustis and Tom "Jolly Red Giant" Lally both were lost for the season after heading off to school, leaving the end of the season in doubt.  After many days of deliberation between both teams and the Commish's Office, it was eventually decided that the Reds would try to finish it out using an autofielder.

The game picked up in the 2nd inning in a scoreless tie.  The Reds would open up the scoring in the top of the third when Palpatine launched a 3-run homer over the short porch in deep right-center off of Chops, and they'd add another in the top of the 4th when Spoon singled a run in to make it 4-0.  The Braves would not go away quietly, however, as they strung together two wall-ball singles, an error, a single into the right field corner by Edgar that made it 4-2, an infield single, a single into the gap by Chops that made it 4-3, and a grounder to left by Sanchez that tied it at 4-4.  The game would go into extras, and the old man would take over, holding the Braves down on the hill while launching another opposite field solo homer in the top of the 8th to provide the winning margin, giving the Reds their 1st ever HRL Championship, and bringing The Cup back to Eagan.
