World Series - Game 5
Red Sox 2, Reds 1 - (7 innings)
Tugboat's no-doubt blast deep into the night provided the walkoff winner in the 7th as the Sox edged the Reds 2-1 in Game 5, staving off elimination and sending the Series back to Eagan with the Reds leading 3 games to 2.
One pitch in the bottom of the 7th was all it took, as Palpatine threw a letter-high slider to Tuggy who pummeled it, leaving no doubt which side of the fence it would land on.
The Sox took a 1-0 lead in the last of the 4th with some good strategic wiffles, when Dr. Jesus led off the inning with a single to right and advanced to 2nd on a ground out. Tuggy then pinch-ran for Dr. Jesus, and on the very next pitch, scampered home on a close play when The Man hit a ground out to left. The Sox' lead was short-lived, however, as the Reds tied it in the 5th when Spoon singled to right, driving in Palpatine from 3rd.
The Man got the win for the Sox, going 7 strong innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 walks but fanning 14. Palpatine, who got lit up for the game winner, went six-plus, giving up 4 hits, walking nobody with 9 strikeouts.
