Braves 10, Expos 9
6th inning homer not enough for Expos
Jamie Nowaczewski's solo homer in the last of the 6th cut the Expos' deficit to 10-9, but Tom Polseno was able to hang on and get the final two outs to secure a season opening 10-9 for the Braves. It was a wild affair pretty much from the start, with the Expos getting to Polseno for 7 runs in the bottom of the second, and the Braves answering back with a 9-spot in the third to rough up Matt Nowaczewski. The Braves got 10 hits in the ballgame, four of those from Polseno. Matt Travaille and Sean "Rocket" Pabon added home runs in the winning cause.
