A's 5, Brewers 2
5-run 1st holds up as A's win first
Larry Storey's 3-run bomb keyed a 5-run first inning for the A's, who then rode the strong pitching of Greg Lund (1-1) to a 5-2 win, the A's first of the year. Lund and 911 each got two hits in the inning along with Storey's homer for all the runs they would need. The Brew Crew's Paul Henderson (0-1) scattered just two hits after the rough first inning, not letting the game get out of hand, and chipped in with his third homer of the year in the second inning. Lund struck out a pair and only allowed a pair of hits.
