FINAL

Game 1
Phillies 7, Expos 5
Late rally by the X falls short
The Expos fell to 0-4 after a sixth inning rally fell two runs short for a 7-5 Phillies win.  Brian Pace (1-0) survived the late scare to pick up the win for the Phils.  Pace struck out 5 and walked 3, while allowing three homers.  The Phillies got a pair of homers, a 2-run job by Pace in the last of the fifth, and a grand slam by Peeks in the bottom of the second.  Jamie Nowaczewski (0-1) had a so-so game on the hill, with 10 strikeouts, but surrendering 11 walks, 7 of those to John "Statue" Tillander, who added to his sick league-leading walk total. Jamie N had a nice game at the plate for the X, with a pair of homers and 3 RBI, while Pat Reckinger hit a huge two-run homer in the top of the 6th to cut the score from 7-3 to 7-5.
