One run was all the Indians needed and one run was all the Indians produced. CJ hit the first pitch of the home half of the first inning out of the rink. Joe-B-One settled down after that, allowing two total hits and collecting eight strikeouts. CJ was just one pitch better. He didn't allow a run, surrendering three hits while fanning 14 Pirates.
Each team saw two noobs getting their first HRL action. Hammer made his Indians debut, striking out in each of his five at bats. Not to be out done, rookie Pirate, Buzz also posted an 0-fer, with five Ks as well.
