FINAL

Game 1
Expos 7, A's 2
The X lights Mathis up for 6 HR's
The last-place Expos put up an amazing and un-X-pected performance against one of the league's top arms, taking David Mathis yard six times, powering to a 7-2 win over the A's.  Jamie Nowaczewski led the way for the X with a 5-for-8 game, including an HRLTC record four home runs, all solo shots. Newcomer Christian Brandt continued his ace slamming tour with two homers off Mathis.  Suddenly, the Expos are lethal. Brandt (1-0) also pitched the win for the Expos, allowing six hits, striking out three, and walking a pair, allowing just single runs in the 3rd and 4th innings. Mathis (4-1) finally took his first HRL loss, surrendering the six homers, eight hits in all, fanning four and not walking anyone.
