Perfect game for Jon Herdegen!
K-Mart has let it be known that this perfect game was made possible by his defense, and by Viewers Like You. In just Jon's second mound appearance of the year, it was 18 up and 18 down for a quick 3-0 blanking of the Brew Crew. 16 of the 18 outs were made in the field, as Jon (2-0) struck out just two batters, make the feat that much more amazing. It's the 2nd perfect game of the year and 3rd no-hitter this year. Hendi (1-5) was the tough luck loser, allowing only three runs on four hits, with 6 walks and 8 K's. Edgar hit another homer, this one a two run shot in he top of the first, and Nelson added a super-flamboyant solo shot in the fifth.
