Yankees 3, Royals 2
Yankees bounce back from recent skid
The Royals scored their runs early in the game, taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the second. It wouldn't prove to be enough as Scott took matters into his own hands both on the mound and at the plate. Through six innings Scott (3-3) gave up only two runs on six hits and shined at the plate by personally matching the Royals offense with two solo HR's. A last second pitching change gave Mike P. (2-5) the start for the Royals, and while he would pick up the loss it would not be the fault of a poor pitching performance. Scott's two home runs would be the only down point for Mike's outing as the Yank's would take the lead for good after a throwing error by Truck would allow Willie to score all the way from second.
