Phillies 5, Brewers 2
Phillies bats take care of Brewers
Each of the Phillies had at least one hit in this one, racking up a total of eight, including a three run homer by Peeks in the top of the first. Shirls (6-3) pitched a solid game, striking out seven and allowing two runs on four hits. Joe (8-5) had a rough start, giving up all five Phillies runs in the first two innings. He would hold the Phillies scoreless for the remainder of the game, but the deficit would be too much for the struggling Brewers offense to recover.
