Semifinals: Game 1

Twins 3, Phillies 2 (10 inn)
Nelson's walkoff HR ends classic game
A two hour battle of wills ended when Nick Nelson of the Twins lined one over the right field wall with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning to give them a huge 3-2 win and a 1-0 advantage in the series. Edgar (2-0) went the distance for the Twins, allowing four hits (NONE after the third inning), whiffing 10 and walking three. Two of Edgar's third inning walks ended up scoring on a hit an an error, for all the runs the Phils would get. Nine (0-1) pitched valiantly, despite struggling with his control at times. He walked eight to go with three strikeouts. The hot-hitting Twins mustered only three hits prior to Nelson's heroics.
