FINAL

Game 2
Semifinals: Game 2
Twins 7, Phillies 0
K-Mart lives up to his name! (sort of)
Another windy evening in Eagan, as Pace & K-mart each took the hill for their respective teams.  Both pitchers appeared to be in good shape through the first 3 innings, not allowing any runs, and foreboding another late night at the rink for these fellas. But in the top of the 4th, the breeze got the best of Pace (0-1) and turned things around. Back-to-back-to-back free passes loaded 'em up for the Twins, and the Phils were forced to make a move to the bullpen. With nobody out and the bases juiced, Peeks came on to try his best Houdini impersonation. No such luck.  After walking in a run, Kelly gave up two more hits before finally getting out of the inning. The damage was done though; as the Twins took a 3-0 lead into the bottom half of the 4th.  That lead would be more than enough for Gill (2-0), who has been absolutely evil in the playoffs thus far, pitching 12 straight innings of shutout ball, and giving new meaning to his nickname by striking out 9 Blunts this time around. The Twins would pad their stats by adding another 4 runs in the 6th, but it was K-mart's prowess on the mound that ensured the 2-0 series lead for the hometown Twinkies.
