FINAL

  (14)
Game 3
Semifinals: Game 3
Twins 3, Phillies 2 (15 inn)
Nelson delivers another walkoff win
One of the all-time great HRLTC games spanned two days.  With the score tied at 2-2 after 10 innings days earlier, darkness had set in and put a kibosh on the action until the teams got back together on Sunday evening to continue the game.  Both sides staved off potental winning rallies before the Twins finally tallied one in the last of the 15th to seal the game and the series.  Jon singled to lead off the final frame, K-Mart walked to move him to second, and Nelson's opposite field wall ball drove in Jon with the game winner. Both teams had their chances in the 11th. The Phils had a runner at third with two outs, and a base hit that fell in did not result in a run because of a baserunning brain fart at third, when Peeks wasn;t off at the crack of the bat, and got caught napping, forced to stay at third. The Twins loaded the bases and had a full count with two outs when Shirls made an amazing shoestring catch up the first base line to get out of the jam. Shirls fanned an amazing 22 hitters in his 14+ innings of work, walking eight. Edgar was lights out on the hill as well, fanning 15 batters.  Nelson was huge for the Twins, driving in all 3 of their runs in this one.
