FINAL

Game 1

Indians 2, Reds 1
Borky's bomb brings opener win to Da Tribe!

The opening game of the season for the Reds and the Tribe was about what everyone expects when these two teams face off: A pitcher’s duel with one hit making the difference.  Although when Brian stepped up to the plate to lead off the game, it looked for a second like it might not be that way.  Molgs, starting for the Tribe, offered up some meaty love on his second pitch of the game, and the spoon couldn’t pass up taking it deep for a lead-off homerun to start the season.  The Reds took a 1-0 lead until the bottom of the second inning when Molgs made up for his bad pitch and hit Bork in with a sacrifice.  With the game tied after the second, both teams would buckle down on pitching with Brian striking out 11 batters in the game, and Molgs going four before handing it over to T-bag, who did not give up a hit.  In the bottom of the fifth, with the game still tied at 1-1, Bork would step in against his long-time nemesis and belt a MAJESTIC solo homerun to right field to finally get the Spoon monkey off his back and put the Tribe up 2-1.  Brian would walk to lead off the top of the sixth, and with a couple outs that would advance him to third, it came down to Lord Palpatine to tie the game up.  With a groundball to the newest member of the tribe though, Al would scoop up the final out and give the Tribe the opener 2-1 over the Reds.
