Crew Bats and Defense Look Alive
Joe (2-1) certainly didn't dominate, striking out only 3 in the win, but the defense behind him sparkled. The A's made good contact all night, but line drive after line drive was snagged by Brewers in the field. In the 5th, Hater (1) broke up the no-no and finally put one where it couldn't be caught…a laser over the left center wall, but the score was already one sided by then. Crew newbie Jesse "The Hammer" Owdom went off in his second week, smacking 3 dingers and driving in 7 runs. Crow (0-3) took the lost for the home team; giving up 8 runs on 5 hits in 4 innings of work, and was really hurt by a couple of well timed long balls.
