FINAL

Game 1

Cota Solves the Tegroes

Dano made his return to the mound and the Tegroes line up for a start against the D'backs and Cota, who had taken his lumps from them in previous starts.

Cota pitched very well, striking out 10 and giving up only three hits including a HR to Nelly in the 4th.  HBK provided the offense the D'backs would need as he homered off Dano in both the 1st and 2nd innings to propel the D'backs to a 2-1 win and give the Tegroes their first loss of the year.

HBKs second dinger came a batter after Doc made a tremendous running backhand catch on a H8R linedrive for the first out of the inning.  On the next pitch, HBK lofted one to deep left, Doc got himself under the ball and some how, Jose Canseco like (although not off his head) popped the ball up over the fence for what proved to be the game deciding second run.

Dano pitched well in his first appearance of the year giving up 4 hits and two runs in 3 innings.  Doc and Seibs each added a scoreless inning in relief.  Cota had the Tegroes off a bit as he mixed in a curveball they had never seen from him, and he propelled the D'backs to the win.
