Braves vs. Angels

The Braves have owned the career series vs the Angels since 2011, going 11-3 against their Hopkins counterparts.  Most games have also been lopsided affairs with the Braves outscoring the Angels 140-55 over the past 4 years.  Despite the run differential, the Angels have had the upper hand more recently winning 2 of the last 3 regular season contests between the two teams.  Look for more highly scoring outcomes in this week’s games between the Braves and Angels.

Devil Rays vs. Blue Jays

There’s not a lot of history between these two teams, in fact, there’s none.  The new “Frickin” Devil Rays do however have plenty of individual history against the BJs franchise as former member of the Gothams, Rays, and White Sox.  And the BJs have had plenty of at bats against the 4 member pitcher crew of the D-Rays.

The numbers don’t bode well for the aforementioned BJs.  They definitely be looking for the most familiar D-Rays pitcher, Two Bat, to take the mound as they have seen the most success against him during their careers.  Look for a lot of back and forth between Two Bat and Vlade in this one and each will have comment after comment for one another all night long.

Giants vs. Twins

The question that should be on everyone’s mind this week is, will K-Mart get 3 guys to show up at the fields?  So far it’s been a tough endeavor for the Twins’ skip to get his roster of 6 to have 3 active players each week.  With so many babies entering this world, the Twins should start a daycare service at the rink.

Despite the 2015 issues, the Twins have an 11-3 edge against the Giants over the last 5 years.  The Giants will look to change that around against their new division foes this year with two games likely against K-Mart, Pearl, and Nelson.

National vs. White Sox (Hopkins Series of the Week)

In what I have dubbed the best series of Week 3 for Hopkins (I’m writing this, I have that authority), the 2014 HRL Champs will face off against the newly merged White Sox.   The Nats will use their mix of power and speed to continue their hot start to 2015 against the underrated Sox.  With Mippey5 and Huck Finn, the Sox have added two of the better Hopkins pitchers to their crew.  The Sox will also need the slugging of Spaz to continue against Sticks if they want to come out on top.  Spaz has hit 3 HRs in 3 games vs. Sticks in his career for a whopping 1.750 SLG%.

Field 1 at Central this week will be the place to watch some great wiffles.
