Pitching/Defense:
Always in the hunt for the Paw, Larry continues to flash some of the best defense in Hopkins. Anchoring left field, batters are that much more unlikely to have success against the Padres’ already tough pitching staff.
Batting/Baserunning
Cheezy’s average moved back in the right direction last year, nearing the mark he set in his first season. However, it seems he still hasn’t realized his full potential yet. Finding a way to combine some of his previous power and on-base ability could make him a much greater threat in the order.
2007 Outlook:
Weekly Wiff-gems and another Sticky Paw aren’t unlikely. But regardless of any league accolades, Larry’s defense will always win the Padres’ praise and likely even save them a few games along the way
