The Colt .45s took the second game of the doubleheader 13-11 in a
matchup featuring PADRES! hurler John "Nine" Tillander against .45s
southpaw, Tony "TT" Thompson. TT settled down after a shaky five-run
first inning and only allowed one more over the next three innings.
Nine struggled with location and fell victim to the second of three
errors on the night by Cheezy as the .45s mounted a serious rally,
fueled by solid hitting by DJ.
TT struggled with pitch location in the sixth and was relieved by Trent
"Trent" Lucht, who quickly retired the PADRES! to record his first save
and preserve the Colt .45s victory.
In attendance was Joe Lawrence, Baby Shirley, and Baby Shirley Mama.
