World Series - Game 2
Reds 3, Braves 0
Zack nearly untouchable as Reds even series at 1-1
Zack "Dr. Seuss" Eustis got his team right back into it with a 2-hit shutout, leading the Reds to a 3-0 win in Game 2, evening the series at 1 game apiece as the series shifts to Eagan for games 3, 4 and 5. The win was the first for the Reds in World Series play, as they were swept by the Red Sox in last year's late-summer classic. Zack walked just one while fanning 11 in the win. Teammate Spoon got the only run the Reds would need with a rainmaking homer down the left field line in the top of the third to make it 1-0 Reds. Jolly Red Giant slapped a mammoth two-run shot into the tree in right in the 6th inning to give the Reds some insurance and a 3-0 lead. Chops pitched very well depite the loss, allowing just 4 hits, strking out six. Chops also had the only two hits for the Braves in this one.
