World Series - Game 6
Red Sox 3, Reds 0
In a truly dominating performance in all aspects of the game, the Red Sox forced a be-all, end-all Game 7 with a 3-0 win that left no question that the Sox would not be going down on this night without a fight.
The Sox pounded out 8 hits off Dr. Seuss, who clearly did not have his 'A' stuff, with the exclamation point a deep 4th inning solo bomb from The Man to center field, a shot he called just prior to hitting it. Tuggy and The Man each had 3 hits in taking control of the game early and often.
Tugboat dominated on the mound, pitching a one-hit shutout, walking two and fanning 12. Both of Tuggy's walks came in a tensioned filled bottom of the 6th when the Reds tried to get a mini-rally going. Seuss was tagged with the loss, getting racked for 8 hits, despite striking out 15.
