Braves 7, Yankees 3
Travaille's base clearing double breaks it open
Matt Travaille hit a bases-loaded double down the left field line with two outs in the top of the fifth, clearing the bases and breaking a 3-3 tie to lead the Braves to a 7-3 win over the Yankees, and a split for the night. Nick Consoer (2-1) had the Yankees' bats off balance all game long, and made a web gem catch of his own when he charged in from the mound to snare a foul ball up the third base line, crashing into the rink wall in the process. Josh Cota made a couple of dazzlers in left for the Yankees as well, and added a solo homer for his third of the night. The Braves benefitted from 11 walks from Scott Derouche (0-2), as all three runs that came in on Travaille's key double were as a result of the walk.
