FINAL

Game 1
Phillies 2, Brewers 0
Shirls dominant in first HRLTC no-hitter
This time, Shirls didn't let it slip away, clamping down on the tough Brewer bats for a 2-0 victory and the first no-hitter in the short history of HRLTC.  Shirls (2-1) introduced a splitter into his already tough repertoire of speedy sliders and change ups, striking out nine, and walking five.  The Phils got their runs on what could only be describes as the Brewers' comedy of errors. Hendi (1-4) got tagged with the loss despite pitching well enough to win, allowing only a first inning hit, fanning 4 and walking just one.  Ted Spilseth made his Brewers debut, pitching a scoreless sixth, and Bill Quick made his Phils debut, getting on base four times.
