A's 7, Twins 2
Lund stars again as A's win 7th in a row
Lund kept the homers coming, almost single-handedly continuing the Twins tailspin by dominating at the plate and on the mound as well, giving the A's a 7-2 win. The streaks continued, as the A's won their 7th straight, and the Twins lost their 5th straight. Lund drove in four with a pair of late inning 2-run blasts (5,6) to keep the A's on top for good. K-Mart (1-2) just couldn't seem to get it figured out in this one, also allowing a HR to Mathis (7). K-Mart had seven whiffs in this one, but allowed the big hits at the wrong times. Lund (4-1), despite finally walking his first batter of the season (Edgar in the 4th inning), had another solid game, scattering six hits and fanning six.
