FINAL

  (4)
Game 1
Yankees 10, Expos 0 (4 inn, mercy)
Cota makes Expos scream for mercy
Combine a one-hit, 8K performance from Josh Cota with six Yankee homers, and you get a recipe for Mercy Pie.  It was ugly from the word go in this one as the revamped Yankee roster made Expos starter Pat Reckinger (0-2) take it on the chin (among other places), cracking six homers.  Will McLaurin made his Yankee debut by going yard twice, as well as Mike Hough. Cota and Gus each left the yard as well. Cota (3-1) blazed his way to his 3rd win, fanning 8 and allowing a single hit in his abbreviated start.
