Braves 6, Twins 3
Twins cough it up in late innings
Three Twins errors in the last 2 innings turned a 3-1 lead into a 6-3 loss, the Twins' 6th straight. Edgar (1-3) had yet another frustrating start, pitching well until his defense abandoned him. Edgar allowed a leadoff homer to Matt Travaille in the first inning, but after that scattered five hits, fanning 5 and walking 5. All three errors ultimately came around to score. Meanwhile, Rocket (3-2) pitched a solid ballgame, giving up five hits, most notably, a HR to Nelson in the third to put the Braves down 3-1, but retired 12 of the last 13 batters he faced after the homer to seal the comeback win. Rocket struck out three and walked only one.
