FINAL

Game 1
Royals 2, Braves 1
Mikey's walkoff homer downs Braves
In an instant, it was over.  With Nick "Sanchez" Consoer pitching for the win in the bottom of the sixth and nursing a 1-0 lead, the Royals again pulled one out of their asses when Dave Effenberger drew a one out walk and Mikey Patterson yanked one just fair down the right field line for a two-run blast, giving the Royals yet another incredible win, 2-1 over the shorthanded Braves.  Sanchez (2-4) pitched a hell of a game, allowing only 3 hits, and walking just 2, and had his own heroic moment overshadowed by Mikey's homer. Sanchez broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth with a line drive solo homer over the left field wall to put the Braves up 1-0. The Rick (3-0) continued his pitching brilliance, scattering five hits, striking out five and walking just one, cementing his spot as the Royals' #2 starter.
