When the Reds and Pilots took the field Thursday night, there were questions in the air about whether or not Dr. Seuss was fully recovered from injuring his shoulder a month ago. It did not take long to prove his shoulder would not cause him any problems. Seuss fired a gem only allowing one hit in six innings of work while striking out 11. At the plate, the Pilots had trouble keeping Richard off the base paths. And once he was on the basepaths he was a terror. His blazing speed gave the Communists a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and they never looked back. Rex looked to have command of his pitches but the Pilot defense was unable to help his cause committing three errors in the field.
