FINAL

  (7)
Game 2
It was a game in which something had to give.  Box and Palpatine each entered the contest with unblemished 4-0 records on the mound.  As the game progressed it became very clear that neither was going to give in easily.  Palpatine only allowed three Pilots to reach base in the game while striking out the aviators nine times.  Box allowed only 3 hits but it was the leadoff single to Richard in the top of the 7th that proved to be costly.  With Richard on first and nobody out, Seuss put a ground ball into play advancing Richard to 2nd.  Palpatine came to the plate next delivering another ground ball to right field.  Due to a great secondary lead, Richard had a full head of steam and was rounding third when the ball was fielded.  B-Pine gave a valliant effort and nearly pegged Richard.  However the throw did not hit its mark and Richard would score the go-ahead run.  In the bottom half of the inning, Palp set down the Pilots in order and the Reds emerged victorious again.
