Twins 18, Phillies 2 (5 inn, mercy)
Twinkies pummel Phils for sweep
It was ugly from the word go, as the Twins rode a 10-run fifth inning to an easy 18-2 mercy rule win. The Twins pounded 12 hits in the hitter-friendly breezes to put the Phils into submission. Pace (1-4) got stuck with his second loss of the night, allowing 8 runs in 4 innings, while Peeks got stuck with 10 runs in his inning of work. Jon (3-0) fared well in his first outing since last week's perfect game, allowing just 2 hits (both solo homers) in his five innings of work.
