FINAL

Game 2
Yankees 2, Royals 1
Scott's pitching seals the sweep
Willie's solo HR and some shoddy Royals defense broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth, and Scott's pitching held fast as the Yanks held on to win 2-1 and sweep the Royals.  Scott (2-3) pitched a great game, giving up just three hits and two walks, fanning three. The Royals nearly pulled off another miracle comeback, as Mike homered to right in the last of the 5th to cut it to 2-1, and twice more flied out to the warning track with a runner on, in the 5th and 6th innings. Mike (1-3) also made a spot start and pitched well, scattering five hits, walking one, and striking out three.
