Braves 2, Phillies 1
Chops' 2 hits keys winning rally
In a very well pitched ballgame by both sides, it was Chops' 2 hits in the bottom of the fifth that drove in the winning run in a 2-1 win over the Phils. Rocket (5-3) continued his recent run of success for the Braves by allowing just one run (courtesy of 2 fielding errors) and scattering four hits, striking out a pair and walking nobody. Peeks (1-4) also pitched an excellent ballgame for the Phils, giving up five hits (3 of those to the ever-dangerous Chops), and struck out two, also not walking a batter. The fifth-inning rally came when Chops singled to open the inning, then with two outs, he doubled himself in to score the eventual game-winner.
