FINAL

  (7)
Game 2
Yankees 8, Twins 7 (7 inn)
7th inning HR by Gus lifts Yankees
A solo homer by Gus in the top of the 7th proved to be the game winner, as the Yankees beat the Twins, 8-7 in their first actual on-field meeting.  The Yanks won by forfeit over the Twins back on June 10th.  The game saw fireworks early, with the score tied 7-7 after three innings. Edgar (3-5) who has been Jekyll or Hyde on the mound this season, had a rough go while taking the loss, walking eight before settling into a late game groove where he retired 13 straight batters. Gus (1-2) picked up the win but also had a rough start, getting racked for six hits and walking three in the first three innings. Gus settled down nice, retiring the last 14 hitters he faced.
