FINAL

Game 1

1

A's

Twins 9, A's 1
It's not easy being Cheezy...
Forced to make a spot start without their stud Dave Mathis there, Larry "Cheezy" Storey took the hill and got pummeled by the hot-hitting Twins, 9-1.  Larry (0-1) more or less took one for the team in getting blasted for 15 hits (none of them homers), notching up a pair of K's and tossing just one walk. Three errors by the A's defense didn't help matters much either.  Jon had 5 hits, and K-Mart and Nelson each had 4 for the Twins. Edgar (4-5) pitched like the ace, allowing only two hits and racking up 8 whiffs with just one walk.
