Greyduck emerges for A's
The A's were only able to sport two of their own players as Jim West stepped in to lend a hand both on the field and the base paths. Tim "Greyduck" Lange (1-1) got his first win for the A's as he took command of the game by shutting out the Phillies on two hits and four walks. The birthday boy Peeks (1-6) took the loss in this one, allowing four runs off of eight hits and two walks. Greyduck also brought his "A" game to the plate as he went 5-12 with three runs scored and two RBI's.
