Braves 9, Twins 6
Home runs are fun
The Braves relied on the long ball to plate all nine runs as their assault on the Twins was lead by the unlikely bat of Sanchez, who blasted three home runs, including a grand slam in the first. Sanchez ended the game with seven RBI and four runs scored. As if that wasn't enough, Chops added two opposite field solo homers of his own on his way to scoring the Braves other five runs. Chops (1-1) was the fortunate pitcher to receive all this run-support as he gave up six runs on nine hits, including home runs to both Edgar and Nelson in the bottom of the fifth. Edgar (5-6) took the loss, never getting comfortable as he battled a mixture of the wind and the Braves' bats, giving up the nine runs on six hits and five walks.
