FINAL

  (5)
Game 2
Braves 6, Twins 5 (5 inn, darkness)
Chops keeps Braves on track
Sanchez's seven game winning streak continued and he picked up his league leading ninth victory of the year as the Braves completed the sweep of the Twins and recorded their eleventh straight win. It was more of Chops bat than Sanchez's arm that kept both streaks alive as Chops went 2-7 with a homer, six RBI, and three runs scored. Sanchez (9-4) allowed five runs on five hits, two of which were homers by Nelson and K-Mart. Nelson's solo shot came directly after Edgar blasted what looked to be a homer over the left field wall only to have Chops make a leaping catch to rob Edgar of his glory. K-Mart's two run homer came off Sanchez in the fourth, capping off a Twins four run inning, which tied the game at four apiece. The Braves answered back in the bottom of the fourth with a run of their own to reclaim the lead and go on to win this one in five innings as the game was called due to darkness. K-Mart (3-3) pitched a good game allowing six runs on only two hits, but his six walks were his downfall as the three walks he gave up in the first inning came back to haunt him in the form of a grand slam off of the bat of Chops.
