Expos 4, Royals 2
Christian's walkoff HR seals the deal
Despite a valiant comeback attempt by the Royals, Christian Brandt's one out, two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth broke a 2-all tie, giving the X a 4-2 win and ran the Royals losing streak to a record tying 8 games. J-Ski (6-2) kept the Royals off balance all game with his tricky off-speed pitching, getting the win, scattering five hits, whiffing four and walking a pair. Mikey (2-7) again took a tough loss, allowing the 4 runs on five hits, with seven K's and no walks. Pat Reckinger's 2-run first inning HR gave the X an early 2-0 lead. A sac fly in the top of the fifth cut it to 2-1, then Dave Effenberger's RBI single in the sixth tied it at 2-2. J-Ski led off the bottom of the sixth with a single. One out later, Christian laced one over the short porch in left to give the X the win.
