Game 2

20

Expos

Expos 20, A's 7 (5 inn, mercy)
Today's game is sponsored by the number 12
The number 12 is brought to us by the Expos. It's how many home runs they hit, it was how many of their batters reached base in a row, and it was how many runs they scored in the bottom of the fifth to put the mercy rule into affect and complete the sweep over the A's. The game was close up until that crucial fifth inning, as the X transformed an 8-7 lead into a mercy killing by having twelve consecutive batters reach and score either by walk, error, or hit, including back to back to back homers off of 911 who's incredible stat of the night would be his infinite ERA. 911 wouldn't bear the loss though, that "honor" would be given to Larry (0-3). In all, the pitching combination of Larry and 911 would give up twenty runs off eighteen hits and three walks. The Expos spread their offensive numbers throughout the whole lineup, as Jamie led the onslaught with five homers, Matt contributed four more, and Christian added three of his own. Each Expo had at least six RBI and six runs scored. Overall, seventeen home runs were hit as the A's added five more to the game's total including four off the bat of The Pirate. Christian (5-3) was the lucky recipient of all this run support as he picked up his fifth win, and Matt "M-Ski" came in and picked up his second save of the night.
