Wifflestock Series: Game 1

Brewers 6, Yankees 0
Costa Rica hurls suprise shutout!
In a strategic suprise, the Brew Crew skipped over their winningest pitcher (Joe, 9-5) and started Ted "Costa Rica" Spilseth against the Yanks. Suprisingly, the move worked, as he pitched a dandy, blanking the Yankees by a 6-0 count. Costa (1-0) fired a two-hitter, fanning 10 with just one walk to get the Game 1 win. The Yankees countered with the Scott/Gus combo, having to wait until game 2 to start their ace, Cota. Scott (0-1) gave up 4 runs in three innings of work to take the loss, while Gus was touched for 2 runs in the final two innings. Offensively, Joe led the way for the Crew with four hits, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
