FINAL

Game 1
sm_tigers02sm_senators02Tigers 5, Senators 0
Stacked lineup no match for Sens
The hype was definitely warranted, as the Tigers blanked the Senators 5-0.  The Tigs, a group of accomplished Division I athletes, were led by stingy southpaw Ted "Doc" Golberg in this one, who stymied the newly formed Senators by firing a one-hitter with 12 srtikeouts. A two-out single by Josh "Ten" Carroll in the first inning was the only pseudo-threat the Sens could muster.  Golberg also paced the 'Cats defensively with a five hit ballgame, including a solo homer and 3 RBI.  Youngster Alex Valen (0-1) took the defeat for the Senators.
