FINAL

Game 2
sm_tigers02sm_senators02Tigers 7, Senators 2
Erik Seiberlich's 14 whiffs carry Tigers to sweep
As if these guys needed an encore to reinforce their introduction to the HRL as a team to be reckoned with, Erik Seiberlich (1-0) fanned a whopping 14 batters en route to a 7-2 win and a convincing opening stanza to the 2005 season.  Accompanying the strong pitching game by Erik was another big-time game at the dish by Ted Golberg, who pitched in with a four hit game (2 doubles, a triple, 6 RBI).  Josh "Ten" Carroll (0-1) pitched admirably, allowing six hits, striking out nine but walking seven. Alex Valen was the only offense for the Sens, launching a pair of solo homers off Seiberlich.
