FINAL

  (8)
Game 1
sm_twins02sm_orioles02Twins 3, Orioles 1 (8 inn)
Walk-off homers are fun.
Orioles pitcher DJ "D-Tox" (0-1)Tucci looked anything but new to the game of wiffleball as he went pitch for pitch with K-Mart (1-0) through eight innings. It was like watching a Royals doubleheader all in one game as the pitchers combined to strikeout 22 (K-Mart-13, D-Tox- 9) and no hits were allowed until the fifth inning when Conor "2-Nastie" Toohey singled off of K-Mart. For those who came to see some offense there was no real action until the top of the eighth when Conor hit a solo homer to give the O's a 1-0 lead. It looked like this was going to be the O's time to shine, but there had been rumors among the crowd that D-Tox had hurt his arm the previous inning. True or not, he took the mound for the final inning and walked two batters only to come right back and strike out the next two. Two outs, two men on and newbie Twin Matt "Balls" Balster comes to the plate and delivers a walk-off homer to give the Twins the victory.
