Red Sox 12, A's 2 (5 inn, mercy)
One more one hitter
The Red Sox pounded A's pitcher Jason Hall (0-1) to complete the doubleheader sweep. Steve Novak (1-0) got the win for the Sox by holding the A's to two runs over five innings and pitching the Red Sox second one hitter in a row. It was a one sided ball game as once again every Red Sox hitter had at least one hit and one run. Rian Heaslip went 2-4 with his first home run of the season and three runs scored. Steve Novak also had a good game at the plate going 2-4 with two RBI's and four runs.
