2013 HRL World Series - Game 1
A repeat of last year's finals matched the Gothams versus the Red Sox once again. In Game 1 Hjal and Tugboat would get the ball for their respective teams. Early on there was action as Tugboat took a walk with 1 out and that brought The Man to the plate. The Man hit a low outside pitch up the middle that was picked up by Jagr in centerfield for the 2nd out, but Tuggy kept going. The relay throw from Jagr to Hjal was in time and Tugboat got hit for the final out of the 1st. Both pitchers matched 0's for the next couple innings until The Man took a high outside pitch over the right center wall for the first run of the game. The Gothams struck back in the bottom of the 4th with a deep shot down the line by H8R to knot it up at 1-1. We looked destined for extra innings until Hjal got a hold of one for a walk-off in the bottom of the 6th. Final score Gothams 2 - Red Sox 1.
