Josh Bogaczyk, known by us all as Scrabble, burst onto the HRL scene as a rookie in 2022 with his filthy pitches, hot bat, and humble aura. What's his deal though? Read on to find out more about everybody's favorite Brave.

Scrabble grew up playing Wifflin for Wishes before connecting with Huck and playing in Wifftoberfest 2021. Sanchez quickly scooped him up that offseason after he declared free agency. It didn’t take long for Scrabble to cement his place in the league with his first career home run off future Hall of Famer - Shirls. Scrabble ran away with Rookie of the Year last season, including a flashy home run at the all-star game and helping lead the Braves to the playoffs

Scrabble loves playing with Sanchez and declares himself a “#Brave4Life”, but perhaps he’d want to team up with the toughest pitchers he’s faced so far, Seuss or Lulu. If given a choice between spending 10 years on the Aces or the Lugnuts, Scrabble chooses the Lugnuts. If he was locked in a room with any HRLer for 72 hours, he’d choose Stache so that they could record many podcast episodes.

Scrabble is married with a 16 month old daughter. He resides in Princeton and day-jobs as a real estate agent. He’s originally from Lakeville and attended Lakeville North High School before graduating to North Central University. His dream city is Pittsburgh, where he’s already spent some time living.

Let’s pick 7 letters and play a game of Scrabble:

C is for Cavatappi, his favorite pasta shape

H is for Heggies, his go-to frozen pizza

I is for iPhone, which he owns over android (take note, Mippey)

G is for Gold, his favorite color

P is for Prisoners, one of his favorite movies, along with Saving Private Ryan and Field of Dreams

N is for Nightmare, the most lovable player in the league according to him

W is for the Wish, the toughest batter he’s had to pitch to

Scrabble has top notch vibes and is a pleasure to have around the rinks. Best of luck to Scrabble and all the Braves this season!
