Pitching/Defense:
An effortless fielder, Jamie’s defense doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves, as he’s easily one of the best the city has to offer. He continues to be effective anchoring the pitching staff with spot on control of his overhand curve and floating riser. He doesn’t give up the long ball, but he’s not afraid to let his defense play behind him either.
Batting/Baserunning
As a rookie in 04, J-ski posted an OPS of 1.10…and he has improved every year since. What else do you need to know?
2007 Outlook:
Predicting that someone might bat .500 seems ludicrous, but if anyone can, this is the guy. J-ski may need to make some adjustments on the mound, as his opponents’ average went up quite a bit last season. It could be an anomaly, or indication that his stuff may not be fooling as many as it once did.
