Pitching/Defense:
Christian has increased the pace on his slider and riser, providing a slightly different look for the X’s one-two punch. He also improved his control last season, without sacrificing his K-rate, which just makes him that much tougher.
Batting/Baserunning
Routinely putting the ball in play, Christian scores plenty of runs. He’s still a free swinger that won’t take many walks, but all and all is a very dependable hitter with a strong swing.
2007 Outlook:
Brandt’s a pretty dang consistent wiffler. Another sub 3.00 ERA and .800 plus OPS year should be no problem for this X-man in 2007
