Pitching/Defense:
As a rookie, JP was asked to fill in for an injured AC, right out of the box. While Strongfat doesn't have the same nasty stuff that Slater boasts, he was still very effective tossing slower moving curves and knucklers last April and May.
Batting/Baserunning
Another Twin that always seems to find a way to put the bat on the ball, JP is very difficult to strike out. Off-speed stuff doesn't fool him and his bat is quick enough to catch up with harder offerings as well.
2007 Outlook:
With AC back in full force, JP will probably be the primary relief and spot starter the rotation. At the plate, expect him to continue to get on base at a high rate. He hasn't flashed much power for a big dude thus far, but some of that may develop in his second season.
