Diamondbacks 2, Cardinals 0
Game 3 was a lot of the same as the first two games of the series, with solid pitching, and a noob stepping up at the plate. Cota would go again for the D-backs, while the Cardinals would throw Steve 1 for the contest. Cota would be solid again on the hill for the D-backs, as the Cardinals would continue to struggle finding ways to get hits. Striking out 11 in game 3, Cota again would need little help from his team to win the game. Little help is what he got. Steve 1 had the D-backs on their heels all night with his variety of pitches, striking out 9 of his own. The only runs of the game came on another 2-run single from rookie HBK, and the D-back’s would win game 3 2-0.
